St Moritz Snow Polo World Cup

The “Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz” is the world’s most prestigious winter polo tournament on snow. It takes place on the frozen lake of St. Moritz – a highlight for players and spectators and social highlight of the St. Moritz winter season.

Imposing horses, a cosmopolitan crowd and a breathtaking scenery, what began over 30 years ago in St. Moritz, has developed into a worldwide trend. While polo on snow is now played in locations such as Aspen in the USA, Cortina in Italy and Tianjin in China, the original in St. Moritz remains the only high-goal tournament on snow and thus the highest-level tournament in the World Polo Tour calendar.

Four “high-goal teams” compete for the highly coveted trophy on the frozen lake of St. Moritz. About 15,000 spectators experience a world of sports, which is marked by elegance, speed, and the traditional British sporting spirit. In short, tradition – class – hospitality – emotions!

The matches require concentration, skill, courage and endurance from the world’s top ranked players and also the horses. The special conditions on snow, the unique location at 1,800 metres above sea level and sophisticated St. Moritz make the tournament unique of its kind.

Elegance, speed, and British sporting spirit: World-class polo at its finest!
