Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso Grande Complication à Triptyque

The Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso watch is a classic piece of design and history, and still revered by designers and watch aficionados alike. This is our choice of the ultimate Reverso watch to own.

This revived model of the iconic Reverso combines the three dimensions of civil, sidereal, and perpetual time. A true watchmaking masterpiece, the white gold Reverso Grande Complication à Triptyque demonstrates the prowess of Jaeger-LeCoultre's craftsmen. It is presented in a limited series of 30 pieces.

At the beginning of the 1930s, the watch was born of a challenge, that of designing a model that could withstand the polo matches of the British Army officers in India. Its dial smoothly concealed by reversing the case, to reveal a back that fully protects the face from possible mallet strokes.

The Art Deco style was inspired by a dream of a grand ideal, and the desire to offer the world a new aesthetic and new values. It sought a new balance, a symbiosis between form and function. With its elegant, rectangular lines and clear-cut gadroons, the case of the Jaeger‑LeCoultre Reverso watch takes its inspiration from these same ideals.

Timeless in its face surrounded by its three emblematic gadroons, the Reverso has been enchanting both men and women with an eye for beauty since its creation. From its outset it was equally envisioned for women’s wrists. Often androgynous, it knows how to show off its femininity in jeweled models or affirm its masculinity by pronounced complexities and aesthetics.

By turning its case the watch reveals, on single-sided models, another face which, like a blank page, awaits your personal touch. An engraving, a setting, enamelling…and it becomes yours. So personal, so intimate. Let your imagination run wild and immortalize a part of yourself.

Founded by Pedro and Giacomina Fagliano in 1892, Casa Fagliano still hand-crafts leather polo boots in their Buenos Aires workshop. Using the same methods and tools as their ancestors, their reputation as artisans is untouchable. Working with the our own craftsmen, Casa Fagliano designs and makes its straps with the same leather used for polo boots.
