Top Ten Airports Near The Beach To Keep A Hunton Yacht

Hunton Yachts are a British boating phenomenon, building unique luxury yachts in the UK to the highest standards. These fine craft are designed using the latest technology to the finest premium specifications for yacht connoisseurs. A blend of superb styling, looks, pedigree, performance and luxury unavailable elsewhere. Hunton Yachts may be the fastest, most comfortable boats on the water, but what is the fastest way to get from your home to your yacht? Here is a tailored list of the top ten airports in the most exotic destinations nearest to a beach or a marina, to get you from that plane to your boat in the shortest possible time. The journey to your luxury destination should be a luxury experience in itself. Why waste precious time transferring to and from the airport, when you can jump straight into a superb Hunton yacht, feel the sun and wind on your face and start your vacation immediately, James Bond style.
- The airport at St Barths is definitely one of the very best for beach access. The planes take off and land over the beach itself and the view as you taxi down the runway is that of The Eden Rock Hotel, one of the grandest and most luxurious hotels/villas in the world, though sadly very damaged by Hurricane Irma that devastated the island in 2017. The good news is that it is re-opening in December 2018 and will no doubt be even more magnificent than before. It is owned by Pippa Middleton’s in laws and a favourite with rock legends (it provides a fully professional recording studio) and Hollywood actors, so an ideal place to keep the head turning Hunton yacht.
- Monaco Heliport is set on a cliff overlooking the harbour with a legendary view of the coastline. It is pretty impossible to beat for sheer glamour as the helicopters will pick you up directly from your international flight and fly you into the centre of town in minutes. From there it’s a short hop down to the harbour to be reunited with your luxury yacht in a marina that still outstrips all others for the sheer size, bling and opulence of the yachts.
- Male Airport in the Maldives is pretty special, it’s located on its own island, completely surrounded by the Indian ocean. It’s either seaplane or yacht from there, with the port literally 50 yards from the landing strip. Start your holiday as soon as you land, jump on board and drive your Hunton Yacht out into those crystal, blue, coral waters and sail off into the atoll, heading for a unique private island in your own “Aston Martin of the sea”.
- Nantucket Memorial Airport is another island destination, just north east of Long Island and New York. The ideal base to tour the East Coast and its islands in a powerful but luxurious Hunton XRS43. Pop over to Tuckernuck Island only a few minutes away or the uber trendy Martha’s Vineyard. Spend the entire summer here, visiting the different marinas, sailing between Long Island, Fire Island, Montauk and Newport. Take in the boat shows, dine in the beach restaurants and sailing clubs and generally be seen in one of the top global destinations for well to do boating aficionados.
- Tivat Airport in Montenegro lies adjacent to the Solila Special Nature Reserve, deep in the Bay of Kotor. The views from the mountain overlooking the bay are exceptional and this area is now one of the newest luxury destinations for yachts. Two new luxury marinas have been built in the last few years and the whole coastline is an unspoilt gem, with numerous pristine beaches and historical towns waiting to be discovered. The food and hospitality is traditional and great pride is taken to use fresh authentic ingredients, paired with fine local wines. Do sail to the island of Sveti Dorde, which has the magnificent Our Lady Of The Rocks Church perched on a tiny hand built rock.
- The Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island in Australia is the launch pad for scenic flights to the Reef and magnificent Whitehaven beach. A mere stone’s throw south of the Hamilton Island Marina, and only five minutes from the resorts. The scenery and diving here are breath taking and there are endless places to explore by boat and take in the beauty of nature. The entire island is a picture postcard, composed of lush green forest and deep blue skies. Potter around the different islands and dive down to marvel at the Great Barrier Reef in all its glory from the comfort of your Hunton Yacht.
- Ibiza Airport, or Eivissa as it’s known locally, has a runway that ends in the sea and is a popular destination for both a wealthy yacht crowd and those that enjoy partying at many of the island’s numerous, celebrated clubs. The ideal way to get around Ibiza is in a Hunton Yacht, particularly as many of the most picturesque beaches can only be accessed by boat, which means you get them all to yourself. This is the spot to spend your summer burning the candle at both ends in style, dividing your time between water sports and the lively bars.
- The Ajaccio Airport runway, in Corsica, ends at a beach directly opposite Ajaccio town, so just jump in your boat and sail serenely across the rugged bay, arriving in this mountain village to partake of the many fine restaurants, or lounge in the nearby port, drinking Pastis and watching the multicoloured boats sail by. You will soon forget the world and its worries as you relax in this renaissance painting of a town, enjoying the sun and sea air blowing in from the Mediterranean.
- Mauritius Airport otherwise known as Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam is remarkable for both its proximity to the sea and its modern appearance of swooping glass wings, designed to emulate  the "Traveller's palm,” a tropical plant that grows on Mauritius. It is airy and light inside with an impressive high waterfall that cascades down the far wall opposite the lifts. The bay at the end of the runway is also one of the best places for waterskiing on the island as the water remains calm all year round, protected from the wind. It has a lovely private island at its exit to the sea, with the romantic name of Ilot Des Deux Cocos.
- Lastly Phuket is an international airport serving Phuket Province of Thailand. It is in the north of Phuket Island, just 32 kilometres from the centre of Phuket City. It is also right on the beach, you can almost touch the planes overhead as they fly in to land, so once clear of the airport you can be out on the water in your Hunton Yacht, far away from the stresses and strains of business life, speeding comfortably over the emerald waves, to your private villa. Pull up to the pontoon, moor the Hunton for the night, then dine out under the twinkling stars as the sun sets over the horizon.
